Days gone by, fuzzy and faded to black and white, no longer in technicolor

I long for the yesterdays

When I could hold your chubby little hand in mine, side by side, you and me

You would follow me anywhere and I would take you everywhere, oh, my sweet little one

Now you are all grown, or so it seems

About ready to take on your own yesterdays and make your own path

I will never stop yearning for the yesterdays but, I will always be looking forward to today and tomorrow with you

Making more memories, cherished and true, to put in my pocket to be looked upon for many more yesterdays spent with you
