Listen to the Wind Blow
Listen to the Wind Blow; A friend from High School gave me a great piece of advice, “Be kind to yourself”. That was truly some of the best advice I could have been given.
“Be kind to yourself”. It would ring in my ears when I would be so exhausted from packing ALL day and ALL night, for days on end. It would ring in my ears when I was emotionally drained from trying to hold everyone up. Trying to keep the ship from sinking, trying to make sure everyone else’s needs were met along with packing up our whole lives.
So, for anyone who is about to embark on moving, for anyone who is in the throws of a hard move or for anyone who has anything to do with kids and moving; Be kind to yourself. Take the time to Listen to the Wind blow. It is important. You might thank me for this later. xo
This piece is a reminder to pause, to stop and take a look around, to remember what is most important to you and to take a deep breath. Take the time to listen to the snow fall on the roof, the wind blow through the trees and my favorite part, to watch the sun rise (and the sun set).
